Homesick Mick- ‘Black Hole Friday’ EP

Black Hole Friday is the debut release from Homesick Mick, a singer songwriter based in Brighton.

Being influenced strongly by social issues, Homesick Mick also started a campaign against Sir Philip Green to force him into paying back the BHS pensions that he had left the employees without. The billionaire has been at the centre of controversy in the past year due to his dishonourable behaviour and Homesick Mick took it upon himself to help out those who had been done wrong.

By starting a social media campaign and petition against Green, Homesick Mick has aimed to raise awareness of the extortion going on in the hope that his actions will help in getting a step closer to justice.

Aside from his work as an activist, Homesick Mick has released his EP of four songs that provide a teaser as to what we can expect from his album coming out in the new year. ‘La Troc’, the first song on the EP, is a real foot-tapper featuring a memorable violin hook and a pulsating guitar riff.

Mick’s music draws inspiration from jazz, rock, folk and pop and this  wide range of musical stylings only goes to prove his quality as a musician and songwriter.

The EP is out now and will be followed by the album The Mysterious Abduction & Return of Homesick Mick on 13th January 2017 which was mastered at the famous Abbey Road studios.
